How to Teach Children Physical Fitness in the Classroom

As an elementary teacher, it's your job to prepare your students for the next year of life (and set up their success for a lifetime). That includes reading, writing, math, science and social skills. However, it's increasingly important for our new generation to understand the importance of physical fitness. While your students might get P.E. time a couple times a week, they need daily activity to stay healthy. As their teacher, it might not be in your job description to take them out running for an hour a day. But there are little things you can do to include small acts of physical fitness in your lessons in class. Learn more about these ideas on my blog, which I started to share ideas with other teachers.
